Organizations are still facing difficulties in enabling the free audio conferencing licenses for Teams, despite its valuable benefits. This is due to the confusing nature of the process. To clarify, Microsoft expanded the unlimited audio conferencing dial-in on March 1st, 2022, to the Enterprise, Frontline, and SMB suites, including Microsoft 365 E3, Office 365 E3, Office 365 E1, Microsoft 365 F3, Microsoft 365 F1, Office 365 F3, Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium. Audio conferencing was already included in Microsoft E5 and Office E5 licenses, adding to the confusion.

Dial-in audio conferencing allows attendees to join a Teams meeting via phone and participate in the audio conference. The key difference between the E5 licenses and others is evident when assigning the licenses to users.
